“As seasoned dancers and dance educators, Minton and Faber approach brain function from inside the body as embodiment of thought. Their collection of neurological research about the thought processes in learning and performing dance encompasses a vision of dance as creative art, communication, education, and life. The book informs neuroscientists, educators, and dancers about the complex interdependence of brain localities and networking of human neurology through an integration of physiology, cognition, and the art of dance. Chapters address observation, engagement, critical thought, emotion, memory, imagery and imagination, learning, problem solving, and 21st century skills. Finer components are explored through neurological networks, classroom pedagogy, dance, and movement experiences that provide: Description of the thought processes, their components, and their neurological functional needs. The neurological physiology that has been discovered in the cognitive process. How brain f...

Minding your business is spiritual hygiene; discerning and curating the circle of your attention. It stops you from draining externally what you need to cultivate internally — “Choose what you water wisely".  LET GO AND LET GOD... ffs🀣 The trouble with most people is that they want to know the way and the channels beforehand. They want to tell Supreme Intelligence just how their prayers should be answered. They do not trust the wisdom and ingenuity of God. — Florence Scovel Shinn — Florence Scovel Shinn (@florencequote) June 21, 2024 “Florence” was our set list cheerleader on the non touristy black beach sands  of northern BALI in 2016.  Dance it out whilst creating in shared aligned community @ANDREA BALTs ZEN CREATIVE REHAB RETREAT. “Love is divine only and difficult always.  If you think it is easy you are a fool.  If you think it is natural you are blind.  It is a learned application without reason or motive  except that it is God.” by Toni Morrison

"I remember when I was much younger, how I was often told to-- ‘stop talking. you write too much. you say too much. you need to be quiet.’ Followed by, ‘just listen’ and to let them speak. Hot air of loudness doesn’t necessarily hold much credibility. Nonetheless I got quieter and pulled down deep.  I bite my lip & chewed the inside of my cheek not to speak. Fear froze me. I sat on my hands to quiet them. Little did I know my fingers would be the vessel to my voice. Little did I know I had a lot to say and those feelings wore me to my core. I speak-write through my heart. “Just listen” grew me stronger and the subtle nature of actions of other’s around me spoke louder than words & their promises; I saw how grandiosity grew them weaker. I studied the sound waves coming at me and could see volume doesn’t matter but heart does. Quiet isn’t weak. Sensitivity is to vulnerability as insight is to honesty. I remember now I was taught to be quiet as a form of repression and yet...

"Here's A Door Opening To A New World. What Will I Find There?"   Ursula K Le Guin   21 October 1929–22 January 2018 Step Through Into Love Love Acts clearly as  Love lands differently, Listen. Longing or attachment are different from Love. Longing seeks, waits, wonders, grabs, asks or wants. Longing is a discomfort with the sense of emptiness. Genuine love just Is. Love is creating infinite space for loving, ourselves firstly. Ask, what would love do, in this bare moment? Then Simply Be.   That.     In collaboration with Literary Arts, a tribute to Ursala will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 7:30 p.m., at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, free and open to the public.   “The event will feature tributes from writers and friends who represent the wide-ranging influence Le Guin has had on international literature for more than 50 years, including Margaret Atwood (by video), Molly Gloss,...
