TRUE NATURE has but One Truth

By Eric Rittenberry @POETIC OUTLAWS  Religion, as we encounter it today, has been diluted to suit the tastes of the masses—sweetened and simplified, promising celestial kingdoms for those who merely ‘believe.’ Yet, this simplification strays far from the core of what religion once was—a fiery, transformative force that seeks to ignite the human spirit.  As the ancients used to say: “If you die before you die, you won't die when you die.” Metaphorically understood, this points to a transformative experience where, while still physically alive, you undergo what feels like a spiritual death. This involves letting go of your superficial identity and all the trappings of materialism that come along with it.  You no longer live on the surface of yourself.  In this modern spectacle, belief has become a cage. As Krishnamurti pointed out, when religion becomes merely about belief, it shackles the mind, preventing it from soaring freely. Jung, too, was wary of “belief,” sugges...

“The Patterns of Our Lives Reveal Us. Our Habits Measure Us.”

"Assume a virtue, if you have it not. That monster, Custom, who all sense doth eat Of habits evil, is angel yet in this, That to the use of actions fair and good He likewise gives a frock or livery, That aptly is put on. Refrain to-night, And that shall lend a kind of easiness To the next abstinence; the next more easy: For use can almost change the stamp of nature, And master even the devil, or throw him out, With wondrous potency." Hamlet  Act: III Sc: IV To keep repeating a baleful pattern  without recognising that we are caught in its loop  is one of life’s greatest tragedies;  To recognise it  but feel helpless in breaking it is one of our greatest trials;  to transcend the fear of uncertainty,  which undergirds all such patterns of belief and behaviour,  is a supreme triumph. Maria Popova ~ Brainpickings "And so we might say:  The first act of creation is not a mark,...

Who cares for The Front Line Carers? as we zoom to our forts and circle our wagons as we batten down hatches and nail more sad coffins as we indulge in our fresh water and sanitised hand washing privileges  as we hopefully do not still take, take, take life for granted who remains to give and still care for The Carers?  This is not just about Recent Covert Bug Shift  (yes so certainly scary, if we let it) This is about now, then and forever, really,  who cares for the carers? Platitudes of “Self care” ring hollow so shallow We The Community Can Praise Them Like We Should. when we “The Community” have simply Taken Caring For Granted.  Not malicious, not intentional, just simply busy, hamster wheel running, forgetful,  So as we rightly sit slowly and silently self gaze,  This Gift of a collective long life giving breath out can we spare them, the carers, more than a dime buddy beggar  Our Taxes ...
