LIFE LONG LEARNING IS NOT A CLICHE.

Many self ignorant conditioned clones  say AI will destroy work.  I say, good.  Because what we call “work” today has destroyed humanity;  Destroyed our HUMAN creativity,  Destroyed our HUMAN families,  Destroyed our HUMAN purpose.  Time to let the dumb machines do un sentient machine work.  And then?  Humans can be human again. Fully Creative  Totally Connected  Absolutely Collaborating.  Communities thriving,  not merely surviving.  Bring on the smarter well trained machines.  That response able human learners will always out smart  Machines doing the boring, repetitive.  industrial era hack work   That will unlock self realised life long learning   humans to be fully human again.  As it was before  the world  or society  Or schools  Or legacy media  Or greedy billionaire capitalists  Or rapacious self serving “governments”  or inter generational fami...

LEARNING (LIFE LONG)

The greatest learners aren’t the smartest, they’re the most humble. They ask more questions, make more attempts, and aren’t afraid to look like beginners. Ego slows you down. Stay curious like a scientist . Curiosity is what moves you forward. Remember that your mind does not become the master Antar Mauna

“A Thousand Plateaus” Learning As Life.

Rhizomatic Learning   –  I Care If You Listen.  Curious & Curiouser,  Still,  A Classic Love of Learning  From The Vaults,  Initially #LAK11 #change11 #PLANETEAM #NSWDET  By Dave Cormier circa 2008 It’s my week at  #change11 . My topic? Rhizomatic Learning. Rhizomatic learning is a way of thinking about learning based on ideas described by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari in  a thousand plateaus . A rhizome, sometimes called a creeping rootstalk, is a stem of a plant that sends out roots and shoots as it spreads. It is an image used by D&G to describe the way that ideas are multiple, interconnected and self-relicating. A rhizome has no beginning or end… like the learning process. I wrote my first article on the topic  ‘rhizomatic education: community as curriculum’ in an article I wrote in 2008 . I’ve been talking about rhizomes and learning for about five years now. I have spent the better part of the last three mon...

Keynote: Rewiring How We Learn: The Power of an Experimental Mindset | SXSW EDU 2025

Image
Join Anne-Laure Le Cunff & Vanessa Van Edwards.  In a rapidly evolving world, our educational practices—both teaching and learning—often trigger anxiety: are we studying the right things, in the right way?  Based on the latest scientific research, this session explores strategies to turn uncertainty into curiosity, working with—rather than against—our brain’s natural learning mechanisms.  You'll discover how to leverage neuroscience to transform the way we teach and learn, gain practical tools for developing an experimental mindset that benefits all brains, and walk away with actionable insights to enhance both your teaching practice and your own lifelong learning journey.  With these insights, we can foster collective experimentation and create vibrant learning spaces where failure fuels growth, curiosity drives discovery, and every student feels empowered to approach new challenges with confidence.

Most Reliable Voices Are The Ones Most Invested In Learning

Avoid people who often confuse your free time with your availability. Family, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances included. You will feel anxious and stressed when you don't put yourself first to disappoint those who expect you to put yourself last and do what's best for them. Only your own unwavering self worth  is worth your investment. The false teacher persuades you to follow, to imitate, to be just a carbon copy. The real mastery of self will not allow you to be a carbon copy, it will not allow you to follow or create someone else's dream.  YOU must want to be YOUR own original. Go on I dare YOU! Learn, Be reliable, Learn new skills, stop complaining, Learn to get out of your own attached THINKING head and Be 100% committed to creating YOUR best life. Learn, reliable for life, level up as life, self worth unwavering is life right now, No holding back.  The strongest signal of credibility is not how much people know. It's how much they care about accuracy. Trustw...

Wednesday Night And Jimmy Boy Got On The BCA Hustings

5 February 2025 Remarks to the Business Council of Australia Dinner By Jim Chalmers, Treasurer.  "Thanks to Bran for the invitation, Geoff for the introduction and to you all for being here. It’s a pleasure to be back for this annual gathering on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land. I acknowledge, as Geoff did, elders, customs and traditions. I know I speak for Mark, Katy, Don, Chris, Murray and Andrew when I say our attendance is a symbol of our appreciation for your engagement with us on economic policy. It’s also another chance to thank you for the jobs and opportunities you create around Australia. And from a personal point of view, to thank you for the opportunity we have to catch up every month or 2 with the board or other small groups, to compare notes. This bigger gathering is timely in political terms with an election due by May. It’s also timely from an economic perspective. We’ve seen really important data released in the last month, a new administration in the US making some bi...

Home   »   Journals   »   Semester 1 2019   »   Preparing for the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education in Australia 5 February 2019 Issue: Semester 1 2019 Category: For your Future Kalervo Gulson, Sam Sellar, Andrew Murphie and Simon Taylor argue we can act now to ensure the Australian experience of artificial intelligence in schools can be positive… Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming a central part of contemporary life. However, AI is being introduced into education policy areas, specifically K-12 systems and schools, much faster than either research on its effects or regulation on its use. In this article we will highlight some key areas relevant to education [i] including the connection between skills and AI, and possible ways to respond to, and prepare for, AI not only in schools but in broader society. We conclude with recommendations and links for helping students and citizens to learn more about AI. AI broadly refers ...
