We need to teach how doubt is not to be feared but welcomed. It's OK to say, "I don't know."

The more deeply surrender takes place inwardly, the less occupied the inner field becomes by the ego identity. The personality may remain. The human life may continue with all its particularity. But at the core, there is more space. And in that space, God reveals itself not as an idea, but as openness, love, being, light.
